My family lived in Lima, Ohio when I was a boy.  We went to fantasy farm on an annual basis from about 1976 to 1980.  I remember the whip and the bumper cars as the favorite of myself and older brother Curt.  One year we rode the little roller coaster over and over again, rushing back into the line repeatedly.  Finally the ride operator told us to leave and try out some of the other rides.

Our parents always tried to surprise us with the trip.  We would wake up one morning and they would be packing a picnic lunch in a cooler and loading it into the car.  A couple of years we spoiled the surprise because we found pans full of water in the freezer which we had in the basement.  To us, this was the clue that mom was making ice for the cooler, which could only mean we were going on a day trip the next morning.
